About Theta-Theta
We are the Theta Theta chapter of the Kappa Sigma Fraternity located at Western Kentucky University in Bowling Green, Kentucky. Our charter was founded on February 5, 1965 and the fraternity was nationally founded on December 10, 1869 at the University of Virginia in Charlottesville, Virginia.
Our chapter is composed of about 68 gentlemen from all over the United States in places as close as Bowling Green to places as far away as New York. Our four pillars that we live by are Fellowship, Leadership, Scholarship, and Service. Living by these four pillars is what sets us apart from all the other fratnerities and is what makes as not only the largest fraternity in the world, but also the most preferred fraternity.
To set ourselves apart from other fraternities on campus not only do we work hard in the classroom, but we also work hard out in the community. With service being one of our pillars, giving back to the community is one of our largest endeavors. By working at local food pantries and host philanthropy events, we try our hardest to give back to our community as much as we can. Some philanthropy events we host are things like our "Water Wars" water ballon tournament we host to raise money for our national philanthropy, Military Heroes Campaign, and our "Christmas Week" event we host near December to raise money for our local philanthropy, Toys for Tots. This past year we raised over $6,700 for different causes, completed over 700 community service hours, and participated in over 12 different philanthropy events over the course of the year!!
